As a platform technician, you will work with upgrades, automation, and lifecycle management of applications in our technical platforms.

Your responsibilities and tasks

In the role of platform technician, you will be responsible for planning and implementing updates across our environment in a structured, quality-assured, and operationally secure manner. An important part of the work is to develop and utilize automation with Ansible. You will also contribute to improving the monitoring of our systems and applications to ensure stable and predictable operations. You will be part of a newly established team with experienced technicians where knowledge sharing, collaboration, and shared responsibility are central parts of everyday life.

Your tasks include:

  • upgrades of operating systems and applications.
  • automation and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Tofu.
  • development and improvement of application and system monitoring.
  • working methodically with changes and documentation.
  • collaborating with the team on planning and implementing changes in the production environment.
  • participating in operational monitoring.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for someone who has:

It is advantageous if you have:

  • experience in programming or scripting (Python, Bash, Terraform, Tofu, Golang, Rust, or similar).
  • experience in automation, monitoring, and platform operations.

In all our work, both internally and externally, we must act based on the government’s value framework. Like all employees and leaders with us, you are expected to act according to the agency's approach.

The approaches apply in everyday life, crises, and war. They should be seen as a whole and build on each other; collaborative – proactive - action-oriented.

About the employment

We offer you a permanent full-time position that begins with a probationary period.

Your workplace will be in Karlstad or Stockholm, and travel may occur as part of the employment.

You will be part of an operational organization, and the work may eventually involve on-call duty. The agency has an obligation to fulfill on-call duty when necessary, with a maximum of seven days within a seven-week period.
